Reason for Pool Deck Staining
There are two types of pool deck stains for a basic pool deck top coat finish, acid stains and water based stains. Acid stains are reactive and provide induced chemical reaction every time it comes in contact with lime or minerals; water-based are consistent, they dry the same exact color, it is an option for specific design. Work Process
Steps 1: Arrival
We arrive at the job site as scheduled and ensure your projects will run smoothly.
Steps 2: Surface preparation
We pressure wash the pool deck surfaces, cleaning and removing algae, dirt, contaminates, oxidation and all debris. We fill hairline cracks, repair damage concrete and apply two coats of SHERWIN WILLIAMS CONCRETE H&C STAIN. Note: This particular type of work we recommend a homeowner not to do. Working with open stain cans around your pool can be very damaging if one should fall in your pool.
Steps 3: Protection
We carefully mask and cover all the surface not being stained. Mask pool railing, skimmer lid and hardware. All furniture and items we remove from pool deck. We precisely paint and cut in around metal screen enclosure.
Steps 4: Staining
We apply a two coat application to the surfaces using the proper nappe rollers and special tools.
Steps 5: Final cleanup and client walkthrough
After deck cleaning and staining is completed, we clean the project areas, removing plastic, tape and debris. We take the time to walk with you and do a final inspection and a overview look of the pool deck staining to ensure your total satisfaction of our work.
